Search Jobs: Results: Global Commodity Manager

Responsible for the global strategic sourcing of raw materials, (metals / metal fabrications, machinings, electrical assemblies, etc.) for existing products and to support the development of new products.  Total spend responsibility will be in excess of $100 million supporting global locations.  Key areas of focus will include:

·        Development of commodity strategies / roadmaps that outline sourcing strategy, supplier management, savings goals, etc.

·        Analysis of economic factors, industry and market trends, anticipation of changes and formulation of strategies to establish and maintain a favorable position.

·        Development and execution of raw material supplier management policies and processes that ensure competitive cost, service and quality.

·        Negotiation and creation of global supply agreements.

·        Establishment and facilitation of cross-functional teams to identify and select suppliers that align with business goals.

·        Cost modeling and analysis; provide recommendations on make vs. buy proposals.

·        Management of reliable sources of supply and identification and development of secondary sources to promote appropriate competition and insure continued production.
